My Approach
My path to cutting garden consultations blends creativity and thoughtful planning.
Before growing plants professionally, I spent years in the corporate world — learning how to listen carefully, understand goals, and build actionable plans.
Today, these two worlds meet. The professional grower in me dreams in color and knows what plants work well in our area and when. The former strategist ensures your space is well planned, productive, and realistic for your lifestyle.
I understand how to plant intensively in small spaces for abundant results and how to design for beauty without sacrificing practicality.
Most of all, I believe growing flowers and food is a life-enhancing gift — to slow down, to participate in the seasons, and to cultivate joy right outside your door.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Cutting Garden?
A cutting garden is a functional space designed specifically for growing and harvesting flowers and/or food. It's designed using specific varieties of plants for cutting and successions of planting for a constant supply of flowers or food. While beautifully designed, the main purpose is productivity and requires frequent planting and cutting.
Can I use the plan to DIY my own garden?
Absolutely. The consultation and custom plan are designed to empower you to implement on your own if desired.
Do you build or install the garden?
I do not offer direct building or installation services. However, I am happy to recommend trusted professionals or guide you through DIY options. I can provide a proposal for project install oversight services if this is something you require.
Do I have enough space?
Most likely, yes. I've learned how to grow a lot in a small space! A sun to part-sun space that is thoughtfully planned can yield beautiful and productive results.
